Project Background
In 2021, I received an invitation to become a member of the Creatives Rebuild New York Think Tank, due to my expertise in arts and culture and dedication to fostering vibrant artist-centered communities, which aligns with the organization's goals.
My Approach/ Solution
I mainly focused on providing CRNY input on their artist employment program, which funds work opportunities for 300 artists and provides them with $65,000 for two years.
The program is running from July 2022 - July 2024.

Creatives Rebuild New York is a three-year, $125million initiative that provides guaranteed income and employment opportunities for up to 2,700 artists throughout New York State. These two components work to alleviate unemployment of artists, continue the creative work of artists in partnership with their communities and arts and cultural organizations, and enable artists to continue working and living in New York State under less financial strain. CRNY is jointly funded by Mellon, Ford, and Niarchos Foundations.
Result/Impact
The CRNY program effectively operated between July 2020 and July 2024, benefiting thousands artists through the Artists Guarantee Income initiative and the Artist Employment Program.
