Project Background
I submitted a proposal for the NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) Barrier Beautification project in 2020. In 2021, I received the exciting news that my design was selected to beautify NYC.
My Approach/ Solution
I had around 10 days to prepare and paint my artwork on a 3x1,000 feet bike barrier in NYC. I enlisted the help of artist assistants to ensure the successful completion of this large project.
Result/Impact
Numerous kids and families witnessed the mural being brought to life over the course of 10 days. The mural garnered a lot of positive feedback, as many people passing by expressed how it enhanced the entire area.
